I still practice
chiropractic 2 days a week on Tuesday and Thursday in Hillsboro at 341 NE
Lincoln St. Call me at 503.330.0123
My approach to care is patient centered and vitalistic:
using a physiological moment-to-moment analysis of the body, which is less
dependent on mechanically based and often x-ray dependent analysis. The
adjustment tends to be low force, which I believe, is more facilitating and
empowering to the patient. The corrective and healing process tends to continue
on an ongoing basis for the patient. My
goal is to facilitate each individual’s maximum expression of life.
My other focus in the office is NMT. (Neuro Modulation Technique)
It is an elegant method developed by Dr. Leslie Feinberg, D.C., for helping
many problems. The purpose of NMT is to bring the body back into balance and to
enhance your body’s ability to heal itself. The simple explanation is that NMT
works because it permits the real time reprogramming of biological data
processing systems that control physiology.
The process works through the control system of the body that we will
call the ACS or autonomic control system. This part of us, not under our
conscious control, regulates all the processes of our body and includes all of
the physical components and neural controls too.
The premise is that some part of the body/mind/spirit, or
ACS always knows what is wrong and it is possible for the doctor to access this
information through muscle testing. When effective communication is established
between the doctor and the patient then the part of you that knows what is
wrong and how to fix it is brought into communication with the whole of
you. In each step of this method we
respectfully ask your body/mind’s permission and guidance before proceeding.
This whole process is called OTC-to-OTC communication (other than conscious to
other than conscious) and uses MRT (muscle response testing) as the tool to get
answers. After finding the issue and
enhancing the body’s awareness of it, we then ask the ACS to correct it; and
reinforce/install the correction with tapping on the head or spine while you
breath.
